- This is Shirli. She is six years old.
- And this is Chavaleh, Shirli’s ragdoll. Chavaleh is a soiled old ragdoll, but Shirli loves it very much. They play together every day.
- Shirli and Chavaleh live with Shirli’s parents in a small house with a big garden in a Kibbutz. In the garden there are big trees, small trees and many pretty flowers. Shirli and Chavaleh love to play together under the trees.
- But one day Shirli wakes up in the morning and discovers that one of the doll’s eyes is missing.
- The little girl looks for the doll’s eye throughout the entire house. She searches her room, under the bed, inside the cupboard… but luck is not on her side.
- She looks for it the living room, on the computer desk… everywhere.
- She looks for the eye in the kitchen and the bathroom but the eye is not there, and Shirli doesn’t know where else to search.
- She asks her mother where can the doll’s eye be, but her mother doesn’t know.
- Shirli goes to the garden and looks at the sky. She weeps bitterly because she can’t find the eye, and she thinks about the poor doll.
- Then she sits on the grass under a big tree and she sees a small brown object… It’s the doll’s eye!
- The little girl is now very happy! There is no need to search anymore. Her doll has two eyes again!
